We’ve just finished the 2018 edition of the TacXperience tour! From November 13th to December 1st we had nine killer events in the Netherlands and Belgium. Here, our fans could try and test our latest trainers, ask all their questions and win great prizes. Read on to find out more about this popular tour!
When the weather gets bad, the days are getting shorter and you want to train indoors, it’s awesome to have a bike trainer. But with so many types of these trainers, it’s sometimes a bit difficult to make the right choice. That’s why we came up with the TacXperience tour a couple of years ago. Just an easily accessible event at dealers all over different regions during evening hours. In this way, we give our existing and future customers the opportunity to test the latest Tacx indoor trainers in combination with software like Zwift and the Tacx Desktop app.
We kicked off the TacXperience Tour in Belgium with three events in a row. The hosting dealers and the Tacx team were of course more than happy to help all the visitors answer their questions. And because we know that cyclists are quite competitive, we organized a Tacx competition at every event. The one who was the fastest that day on our virtual track would win a year’s subscription of the Tacx Premium HD software. The overall winner of this competition would even win a brand-new FLUX S Smart trainer! Well, you only have to say that once of course and a lot of visitors gave it their all.
All of these first events were crowded and it was nice to see that everyone was so eager to test our trainers, from the NEO 2 Smart to the FLUX S Smart. At some events the crowd could even try and test the Tacx Magnum! There were also some fierce competitors who were battling for the victory of the day. Gunter de Rechter was the first to set the fastest time at Rudyco in Hamme. It lasted for a few days, until Rob Carmans was just a few seconds faster at the event at Van Eyck Sport in Aalst.
Moving from one country to another
Just before we started the tour, another dealer wanted to join us. It was a little puzzling how to fit this in with our planning, but we certainly wanted to add this event which took place in our capital, Amsterdam. So, when we moved from Belgium to the Netherlands in the second week of this tour, we had four events in a row! But hey, just leave this to the Tacx Team. At these events there was a great buzz with everyone wanting to know more about our bike trainers. And unfortunately for Rob, after having hopes of winning the FLUX S for a whole week, there was someone faster on our virtual track. Carlo Cesar was the one who beat him at Reinders Wielersport in Ruinerwold.
In the third and final week of this tour, we had two events that took place in Belgium and also the Netherlands. The closing event of the TacXperience tour was held, in contrast to the others, during the day. A lot of enthusiasts tried to beat Carlo’s time and it was very close, but eventually he was the lucky one who won the FLUX S Smart trainer. Enjoy your indoor training sessions, Carlo!
After nine events it was a wrap and it was great to see that we got many people excited to go indoor training. Next year we will be back with the TacXperience tour, so keep an eye on our social channels so you don’t miss it.
