1. Tour of Flanders – Belgium
Ride one of the most famous and heroic Spring Classics and challenge the cobblestones of the Kruisberg, Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg. Together with Milan–San Remo, Paris–Roubaix, Liège–Bastogne–Liège and the Giro di Lombardia, it’s one of the five monuments of cycling.
2. L’Eroica – Italy
L’Eroica is a vintage cycling event that takes place in the province of Siena, Italy. The route often includes unpaved rough hilly gravel sectors. The famous Strade Bianche is actually the pro version of this event. In total, three stages are available in the Tacx Desktop app.
3. Colle delle Finestre – Italy
The Cima Coppi is the highest peak in the Giro d’Italia. This year that title was given to the Colle delle Finestre. It was an epic battle partly because the top half of this mountain exists of 9 km of difficult unpaved hard gravel roads.
4. Col des Glières – France
This year’s Tour de France faced one of the steepest climbs ever used in the French Alps. The riders were treated at the top on the Plateau de Glières with a few kilometres of gravel roads.
5. Gotthard Pass – Switzerland
Ride one of the oldest cobbled climbs of this impressive mountain pass in the Swiss Alps. This ancient cobblestone road has been perfectly preserved and is truly a cobblestone heaven.
6. Mont Saint Michel – France
This exists of many abandoned railway tracks that have been converted into scenic cycling paths. It’s a great recovery ride with loads of gravel roads and even a long stretch of wooden cycleway.
7. Grindelwald Grosse Scheidegg – Switzerland
One of the most scenic but also most extremely difficult films in our collection with inclines up to 21%! When – or better, if – you’ve reached the top, you’ll come up a long amazing stretch of gravel roads.
8. Bologna – Italy
The odd one in this list is a city trip through Bologna. After an easy flat ride with some cobbled roads through the city centre, you suddenly go up a brutal climb to the cathedral of Madonna di San Luca.
9. New Forest – England
Enjoy this mountain bike ride through the woods and villages of this national park in the South of England. The ride features lots of cycling-friendly off-road bridle ways and tracks.
10. Muur Van Geraardsbergen – Belgium
Who doesn’t know this famous cobbled climb of the Belgium Classics? The iconic chapel at the summit is especially well known by many cyclists. It has been in the Tour of Flanders many times and was regularly the penultimate, and often decisive, climb.
Enjoy your vibrrrrrrrrating workouts!
